Family Office-Owned VC Firm Launches New Fund

Family office-owned , the US firm which has invested in high-profile businesses such as Airbnb, Lyft and Spotify, has launched a venture capital fund to focus on early-stage software businesses.

The new entity is called Adit Genesis I, LP, and is led by managing director Jon Cholak. 

Genesis already has nine active portfolio companies and plans to grow the portfolio to 20-25 companies over the next three years, Adit Ventures said in a statement yesterday. 
Adit Ventures has offices in California, Florida, New York, Texas, Utah and Washington DC. 

Current sectors of interest include artificial intelligence and Big Data, cloud technologies, critical infrastructure, education tech, financial technology, the “internet of things”, health, wellness, and leisure sectors. Its portfolio companies include Airbnb, Astrocast, Cohesity, Decision Sciences International Corporation, Esme Learning, Klarna, Noom, Netskope, SpaceX and Turo among others.
